United Plugins Royal Compressor
The Royal Compressor is inspired by a model of the classic British device from the Beatles era. The original Royal Compressor was used on hundreds of record since the sixties and delivers a true vintage analogue sound and feel. This classic compressor offers pleasant saturation and sensitive compression, something every track really needs.
Back in the analogue days when every mix was achieved manually, it was necessary, to keep as few controls as possible. Royal Compressor honours this philosophy. Having just a few knobs will have a massive impact on your sound and deliver a vintage sound almost instantly. The simulation of the vari-mu circuits delivers warmth and pleasant compression to any kind of audio material. It‘s more than suitable for vocals, bass and drums on both insert and bus channels. Unlike the original vintage devices, Royal Compressor also features an adjustable amount of valve saturation. The random saturation algorithm creates the effect that the real hardware would have on your tracks.

Producertech Compression Fundamentals
Compression is one of the most essential aspects of producing music, ensuring tracks have consistent dynamics and loudness levels that meet professional standards.
On this comprehensive course from Senior Tutor Rob Jones, you’ll learn the main principles behind the technique, plus a tonne of different methods for how to apply it.
The course begins with a demonstration of how compression affects an audio signal, before moving into a series of lessons covering each of the main parameters. Once the theory is covered, Rob moves into his first realtime Compression Session, starting work on the course project by showing how to process the snare and leads.
The second half of the course then focuses on more advanced techniques, including sidechain options, peak and RMS detection, parallel processing and multi-band compression.
Again, after the theory is explained, Rob develops each technique further in another realtime Compression Session.

W.A. Production Fundamental Bass
Fundamental Bass gives you a quick way to tighten up the dynamics of your low end whilst keeping the snap and sparkle of mids and highs. The processing is achieved with an adjustable frequency split which feeds to two separate modules for processing.
The low band features twin-compressors and imaging adjustment for clarity and mono compatibility. The high band compresses and adds grit, enhancing natural harmonics whilst keeping the bounce of the bass.
The main concept behind Fundamental Bass is in the way it splits audio into high and low modules for independent processing. This way of mixing bass ensures that the low end is smoothly compressed without losing the excitement of mid and high-frequency dynamics.
Green (low) and yellow (high) coloured modules make it easy to see which range you’re adjusting, and each has separate on/off buttons, gain sliders and mix ratio dials.
With a clutch of useful parameters and a comprehensive range of presets, all you need to worry about is where to set the frequency split for maximum dance floor destruction.

Melda Production MTurboCompLE
MTurboComp is the ultimate (not-only) compressor, which emulates most of the classic vintage analogue compressors.
Unbelievable sound, uniquely fast workflow, tons of additional features.
MTurboComp obviously speeds up the workflow tremendously by providing access to so many classic compressors in a single click. But it doesn’t stop there.
Compressors are one of the most overused tools of any audio engineer, yet they are still based on designs and controls decades old, making them so hard to use.
How about controlling the amount of compression? Such a basic task, yet almost impossible without changing output level making any decisions almost impossible.
All of the compressors MTurboComp emulates have almost the same GUI, so that you always know what to do. They do have the controls the originals did, but they have far more than that: Compression to control the amount of compression with minimum changes to output level, Saturation to get additional character, Dry/wet control for parallel compression, and finally, side-chain input, detector high-pass, low-pass and a peak filters so that you can easily tune the compressor to your audio material.
